• Filing Requirements:
Power of attorney simply signed. A separate power is required for each application.
Copy of priority document if priority is claimed along with its French translation.
12 prints of the mark for each application.
All documents must be submitted at the time of filing.
• Time Frame:
The registration procedure lasts 6 months from filing to registration.. The opposition period doesn’t exist. The protection lasts 10 years from the application date.
• Requirements:
Power of attorney simply signed. A separate power is required for each application.
Copy of the final registration certificate or last renewal certificate.
• Notes:
Kindly be advised that The validity of the trademark registration in Djibouti is ten years as from the filing date.. Thereafter, a trademark registration is renewable for further consecutive periods of ten years each.
The renewal fees of a trademark registration can be paid during the last 12 months of the current protection period. According to the provisions of the Djiboutian trademark law, a grace period of 6 months with a lateness fine is allowed for filing a renewal application after the expiration of the protection period.
